19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has endured a difficult period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court since spring of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at 21 different events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular reactions on court had caused commentators to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game chances in a close deciding set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned the win with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
