I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
